Historically, I’ve never been good at keeping a sketchbook. I don’t know why! My brain just isn’t wired to be able to endlessly come up with ideas for thing to doodle. I think a secret part of me thinks that it’s a waste of time, and also I catch myself wondering what’s the point of making ugly little sketches if I can’t make an Instagram post out of it (this isn’t healthy!!).
Anyways, about once a year I furiously bang out a handful of sketchbook pages when I feel up to it. I’m currently (nervously) twiddling my thumbs as I await feedback on my graphic novel’s script/initial sketches, so I figured this would be the perfect time to break out a previously abandoned sketchbook and see what happens.
Below you will find both physical and digital sketches, many of them based off of the random celeb’s face that might have popped up while scrolling through Pinterest (Can you spot 2007 Zac Efron? hahah). I’ve also been playing through The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, so there are a few sketches of Link, too. Oh, and there are also random phrases that I’ve jotted down that I might make into social media comics someday. Pay them no mind~
